Fintechee: FIX API Trading Platform helps traders connect with liquidity providers to get streaming quotes

FIX API Trading Platform is a feature that Fintechee WEB Trader‘s backend provides. It helps traders connect with liquidity providers to get streaming quotes.

Besides FIX API connectivities to more than 20 liquidity providers, our institutional version supports multiple-users management, price aggregator and smart order routing system. Please check our other articles to know more details:

What FIX Stands for?

FIX is the so-called Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol. It is a message-based standard for the real-time electronic information exchange for security institutional transactions.

Which Software Package We Integrate with?

We use QuickFIX and its Java version. It is a full-featured messaging engine implemented for the FIX protocol.

Which Version of the FIX Engine?

We use Quickfix 2.X as our FIX engine.

Which Version of the FIX Protocol?

We employ FIX4.4 as the version of the FIX protocol. FIX4.2 and the older versions can be configured as well, but they are not our recommendation.

What Package Else We Need to Use to Finish the Installation?

Stunnel is software to encrypt the messages to make the connection session secure. We will send you a guide to make you know how to configure it correctly.

Can I Keep Using My Old FIX API Account?

Our Old Application Conditions(Deprecated):

If you are representing an institution, the answer is NO. If you are an individual trader and choose the “Free Plan”, the answer is NO. Because during the period of installing the FIX API package, in order to configure a correct setting file, we need to confirm your information with the liquidity provider to verify whether you are the real user. The liquidity providers don’t cooperate with us exclusively, they have other partners as well, so, it’s impossible to get allowed to share the clients’ information with one another. If you are an individual trader and choose the “Pro Plan”, the answer is YES. Because you will setup the environment in person(No worries, we will guide you step by step), so, we don’t need to confirm your information with the liquidity provider. It’s NOT required to employ the specified liquidity providers as well.

Our New Application Conditions(Updated on March 23th 2021):

Yes, you can. We will guide you how to setup the environment. Please subscribe our free newsletter to get tips or important notifications.

Does Fintechee Provide Demo FIX API?

No. We are not the liquidity provider. We don’t get authorized to provide the brokerage services. But we can help you get demo accounts from the liquidity provider as long as you have the license to use our FIX API trading platform individual version(no matter whether the license is for the “Pro Plan” or for the “Free Plan”).

Can I Sign up for a New Demo FIX API Account with the Specified Liquidity Provider?

A FIX trading environment is very expensive. But, as long as you own the license to use our FIX API trading platform individual version(no matter whether the license is for the “Pro Plan” or for the “Free Plan”), demo FIX API accounts are in the scope of our services no matter whether the liquidity providers are our partners or not.

If you want to try the UI and automated trading, we provide a demo environment on our website. Please access the WEB Trader to have an imagination. The UI is the same as the FIX API individual version.

Is the FIX API Individual Trading Environment Dedicated?

Yes. It’s installed on your local PC. No one else can get allowed to access it.

Then, why can’t we provide the FIX API dedicated environment under the Introducing Broker mode? Because the introducing broker doesn’t trade in person, they do the marketing activities and the FIX API trading environment is installed on the server-side, so, it must be a shared environment.

Which Liquidity Provider Requires Monthly Volume?

Liquidity providers often change their policies, so we can’t answer this question. But we are following the updates of the mainstream liquidity providers, so we will keep you posted once we get the updates from the liquidity providers. Please subscribe our free newsletter to get tips or important notifications.

You can check their information on our website as well. Their names are listed on this page: Liquidity Providers.

Does the Liquidity Provider Charge Fees for the Provision of Streaming Quotes and Trading?

It depends. Some liquidity providers charge fees, some don’t. We will keep you posted once we get the updates from the liquidity providers. Please subscribe our free newsletter to get tips or important notifications.

How to Install and Use the FIX API Trading Platform (Individual Version)?

We will send you a guide about how to configure “Stunnel” and a configuration file to help initialize your trading environment. It can be done in just several minutes.

We will post some articles to introduce this technology as well.

What If the Monthly Volume Goal Weren’t Achieved?

Our Old Application Conditions(Deprecated):

If you choose the “Pro Plan”, then no monthly volume is required. If you choose the “Free Plan”, the system will predict the potential volume and restrict your account automatically. In case that you encountered this kind of issue, you could change your plan as soon as possible to ensure the system keeps working.

Our New Application Conditions(Updated on March 23th 2021):

No monthly volume is required for both plans. No matter whether you have a “Free Plan” or “Pro Plan”, nothing would happen if the monthly volume goal weren’t achieved.
